Noveske Rifles

Mark, I have a question. I know that the latest Noveske rifles now come with the BCM Gunfighter charging handle. The item description on your website confirms that info but on the picture, it's the standard charging handle. Can you confirm this?

The guns are supposed to be as per Noveske's descriptions... Noveske may not have updated their photos and we took photos from their website.

Until the guns arrive we can't get any other pictures to use for our website... of course by that time we won't need pictures as they'll all be long sold.

Are these Noveske rifles 5.56mm barrels or are they chambered in .223?

If they are 5.56mm and coming from the States then how did you guys get them out of the country?

I thought State Dept. was stopping those items from export?

I have a Noveske barrel that is marked 5.56 but I don't know the one I will get from Questar. And yes, does it really matter?!?

Don't ask stupid questions. 5.56 mm chambers and markings are perfectly legal in Canada, for importation and possession. Enough said.

Son of a F**kin #####! These rifles were supposed to sell out before my will power broke down, and they didn't. Now I went and bought a Noveske midi. I've got an SR15 on order as well. WTF? I've got to stop doing this. Expect to see some stuff for sale.

ps, I hope it comes with a fire breathing pig sticker. I really only want the sticker!

It isn't that the barrels are not legal here. I'm perfectly aware that they are.

The issue is with the US State Dept. being jackasses and disallowing a lot of companies from exporting 5.56mm NATO barrels out of the US. Meaning that the versions coming in are .223 only.

Sure it matters, that's why I asked. If State if changing it's tune on this issue and relaxing it that's GOOD news for all of us in Canada who would prefer to buy an AR with 5.56mm instead of just the .223's.

... EDIT ....

From what we hear we seem to be luckier than most in getting items approved... but it changes day to day and sometimes we get denials that others get approvals for... that's just the way it is. If you're trying to understand it and make sense of it then I for one wish you the best of luck.

Question; Will the hat and stickers come with the rifles?

I won't know that until the rifles arrive in Canada... if they arrive here with the hat and sticker then we'll ship them out with those still included in the box. We don't skim stuff... that's not the way we work.

Hey Wolfe,

Perhaps the touchiness you have encountered here has a lot to do with people wanting both this transaction to happen whilst at the same time keeping a low profile? I'm sure if you were hoping to receive such goodness you would be asking fewer questions. Sometimes it's best not to ask? ;) Speaking of questions, I think Mark has on many an occasion made clear that our friends at State will approve permits according to their own whim. And in this case, Gawd Bless them :D

Edit: Oops, it appears my response was tardy...And please Wolfe, and no offence to Mark, but don't be asking State anything! Not to mix metaphors, but if Mark can stickhandle like he does, don't be the kicker that "saves" the touchdown : )

Haha yeah, trying to make sense of what government agencies do will run a man into an early grave.

Thanks for the explain, glad to see you guys were fortunate with this product. Any possibility on future orders including the chrome lined hammer forged barrels?

I had been going on the assumption that ALL 5.56 barrels were being denied outright by State. Thank you for clearing this up for me. Good news to hear that isn't the case, some of the time.

Sold-Out!

Our Noveske Rifle order is now Sold-Out.

If you were one of the lucky few who got their order in, then congratulations.

For those that missed out all we can say is better luck next time. We do hope there will be a "next time". We have submitted another permit application and depending on how that goes we're hoping to once again be able to offer this fine product for sale here in Canada.

Thank you all for your support...
