Sorry, should have been more clear. The N4 Noveske CHF are up there with KAC CHF ( Diemaco ), Centurion etc barrels. They are all more expensive than the run of the mill button rifled barrels you find on a RRA, Stag etc, which is why the N4 uppers are expensive. CHF uppers are actually not that common
Sorry, I did not see the Noveske you are refering to in the EE.
All I was trying to state is the Noveske N4s , KAC etc uppers are not $800 uppers
And BTW , to consider all CHF barrels equal is silly. Sako TRG-42 and 22 barrels are CHF and they can run with the higher end barrels from Kreiger, Hart, Lilja, Mike Rock etc . The Noveskes N4 claim to fame is the chrome plating spec ( its essentialy a M249 barrel made by FN ). The Centurions also have this heavier chrome plate spec. Not sure about the Colt Canada CHF that KAC uses
The Noveske Stainless are made from Pac Nor blanks and hand lapped. To consider a Pac Nor barrel for a bolt gun to be the same as a OEM Remington barrel is again silly. This is why the Noveske Stainless run about the same cost as the Shilens, Kreigers, Satern etcs
