I recently installed a Noveske 60 degree short throw ambidextrous safety on my new SBR build. This is the one with a machined steel middle, and the plastic Magpul levers that you attach with a small screw. It includes a short and long lever, and you can swap them to whatever side is your dominant one (I'm a lefty, so the long lever went on the right side of the rifle, and the Magpul logo is upside down). I bought it for less than $40 from Brownells, before they ran out of stock...lol.
It dropped in to my AP lower perfectly...and once the detent was in, there was no side to side play. Once the levers were installed, I noticed a very nice and crisp action going back and forth from Safe to Semi. Overall, quite impressed with the quality of this ambi selector, especially considering the price.
When the selector is on Safe, it remains on the horizontal position, just as a standard lever would:
When the selector is on Fire, it is on a slight angle, but the point of the arrow is pointing towards the Semi/Fire position. The short throw is quite nice to use.
Just thought I'd share.
