Hi,

Any one of you bought a NOVESKE rifle in 5.56 or 7.62 from SOCOM SUPPLY.

Are those available to the civilians or the military and law enforcement only.

And how they shoot.

If you have to buy a COLT, LMT or NOVESKE ( Money is not the decission factor) which one you would choose and what barrel lenght.

Reason : Just to have a black rifle that looks cool.

You can't go wrong with any of the named manufacturers....
14.5" barrel length seems to be the best compromise of handiness versus bullet velocity/energy (which for most of us is a theoretical concern only).
Then you have to decide about using a fixed front sight or a folder...the folders look cool, but the fixed front sight is more durable and doesn't usually interfere with optic or red dot use.
Next up is whether to mount one of the various rail systems, all of which seem to tempt one to keep adding more 'essentials'..light, laser, vertical grip, etc..
until your nice light, nimble carbine has turned into the tactical equivalent of a main battle tank!:eek:
I have gone the LMT route...three complete LMT lowers, with four uppers, two 10.5" and two 14.5"...some stock and simple, others decked out with rail systems and gizmos...all in search of the elusive 'perfect set up'.:redface:
I still seem to prefer the 'basis' setup...fixed iron sights...always available, with some type or variant of red dot/CQB optic.
Be warned...once you start down this road...there's no turning back!;)
 
I bought a Noveske 12.5 Crusader upper from Socom Supply and it's the Shiznit.
I do own Colt and LMT too :)

I couldnt decide what I wanted.. :D
 
Just got my Noveske Leonidas upper a couple of weeks ago, it's good to go and came with all the extra doodads to convert a lower with as well (AR10 carbine receiver extension, buffer and spring) the fit and finish are second to none.

How is the NOVESKE 12.5, what your experience , I am thinking about getting a long range upper, something in 20inchs or 18inchs, but I might need to get different buffer spring and tube for the lower, or complete lower altogether...

I love the 12.5. Originally I wanted a 14.5 inches but I had an LMT one already so I opted for the 12.5.

It's awesome to shoot, at 100m can't see diff between my LMT 14.5 and the 12.5 Noveske but the Noveske Quality is better IMHO
 
Anybody knows if one could get only a barrel (12.5 crusader) from them? I'm thinking it would look good under a rifle length FF rail, plus I can't seem to make up my mind on the VLTOR VIS.
 
What do you guys use for 7.62 lowers on these noveske uppers? Ar-10's or maybe DPMS? Rather curious as to what you guys are using, and how avaible such lowers are.
