Novice question

I have some limited experience with Vortex. I have a venom on my .22 and a strike eagle on my .308. I like the reticle and price point.

I have a marlin .17hmr with a bushnell 3-9 on it.

I would like to replace it.


I want large zoom capability.
i don't need lots of elevation, because i am shooting gophers normaly inside 150 yards and the .17is relatively flat in that range (compared to .22lr)


Suggestions?

I am considering another venom, but it has stuff i don't need.

Let me know what you think.

Im going to assume your meaning the Venom and the Bushnell. Your not going to see an improvement over the Strike Eagle glass with a Diamondback. As you suggested they are a great buy for the money. Cheers
