I am not (yet) into building custom rifles, so I am looking for an accurate factory gun. Can anyone recommend a stainless, synthetic, heavy barrel, bolt action rifle chambered in .22 LR?
I realize that this is not the Rimfire Forum, but you asked.....
In order to practice my prone precision rifle technique, I bought and set up a CZ 452 Varmint with a Super Sniper 16X scope. My wife absolutely loves it for picking off thumb tacks at 50 meters.
That's the closest thing I can get to a practice rimfire in preparation for competition with my M700 AICS .308 rig.
Just buy the Sako Quad with all 4 barrels. Comes from factory with a preset Burris scope for all 4 calibers. Sweet gun. If not you can buy justthe caliber you want.
Hey Hungry did you do anything else to the CZ. Like a brooks spring assembly or the adjustabe sear from brownells?
any other hints. I am looking to get in alittle practice as well off season so i am looking to get a 22lr accurate enough to practice out to 200 yards to offset my rem 308 training. Wind drift between the two calibres and distances are comparable. side bonus i can shoot 22 in most indoor ranges up to 50 yards.
