Now...I've never owned/shot an M4, but this looks wicked!

Hey guys-I was almost the victim of an impulse purchase having held one of these about 30 minutes ago;

Not a Turkish gun owner/never have been, I've read a lot about how good these are.... I can tell you the one I held/cycled the bolt on was a huge temptation, even the wood was very striking. Sights were straight... Seems like a lot of fun, anyone have this exact model? Input?

Skip the Turknelli clones and get the Benelli version or pick up a 1301T Mod2 and add a S&J +1 extension.

Watch the Turknelli M4 torture tests on YouTube and decide if the cheap price is worth it.

Buy once cry once and no regrets with my US version 1301T Mod 2 with a S&J +1 extension.

I see this a lot with other things as well. You have to make yourself feel good about your purchase.

X2 as someone who worked in a shop that has imported thousands of Turkish shotguns I will say go DO NOT buy a Turkish M4 clone.

Simply put they are made with sub par materials by complete idiots.

If anything goes wrong on a Turkish gun you pretty much need another spare gun to swap parts off of where as the Beretta and Benelli shotguns you will replace the individual part. (If you send it in for warranty whichever shop handling it will be doing the same.)

Most common issues with the Turkish M4 clones were failures in the trigger and bolt assemblies.

Trigger housings cracking, hammers cracking, springs breaking, lugs on the bolt shearing/fracturing off were all major issues I encountered with returned Turkish M4 clones.

The EGE Panzer Arms M4 Speed Pro is just a bunch of lipstick on a pig trying to lure in suckers, buy a Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol, 1301 variant or a Benelli M4 that will last you a long time with absolutely zero concerns about reliability and build quality.
 
I wonder how this thing compares to the VR66 sold by TNA? That gun has sort of called out to me for awhile now. I'm not a competitor, just like shooting for fun at home; I might put a couple dozen rounds through a shotgun every couple weeks or so for variety. I kinda sorta suspect that either of these guns, while not the equivalent of a Benelli, would work quite acceptably for somebody just shooting casually for entertainment. We don't need military-grade hardware for that. My plinking shotguns don't need to last 100,000 rounds; I won't live long enough to shoot that many. :)

I get the idea that a good percentage of Turkish-gun detractors don't need the longevity of a Benelli either, but are simply repeating what they've heard online. Another sizable chunk of Turk detractors are those who have purchased actual Benellis and other high-quality pieces, either because they are serious high-volume shooters or they just wanted the best, and are now simply putting their mouths where their money has already gone.

Another set of Turk-haters are the guys who really do want to shoot tens of thousands of rounds in competition...and think that an M4 clone that costs a quarter as much as the real thing will be just as good. That's just dumb.

I do very little shotgun hunting, and I use a Benelli for that, because that's important shooting IMHO. Shooting pumpkins, icicles, tin cans, skunks, cats, clays, etc. is just playing around; none of those are important shots, so use whatever you like...and you don't have to spend a fortune on it.
 
The Turkish wood M4 stocks can be had for a reasonable price and appear to fit on the Benelli, although they may require a little bit of fitting.
 
Thanks for talking me off the edge guys, this pump-action fan appreciates it. lol

I still haven't ruled it out btw, I have no practical use for a 12ga semi like this so definitely no part of me is seriously considering an M4 or 1301 or the investment they represent. I believe everything everyone has said about them vs. the Italians and don't disagree one bit. For the amount I'd probably use it, this weird little, walnut-butt half-tactical thing might just be weird enough to blow my hair back.
