The Kel-Tec RDBs are coming to Canada at long last! These non-restricted bullpups will be just like the American variants, with an 18.6" Canadian NR barrel, and you can secure one of the incoming rifles with a $200 deposit today towards a full price of $1499 plus taxes. We're told these are expected to be arriving February 2018, so shouldn't be much of a wait...

KEL-TEC RDB .223REM

Through an ingenious and simple arrangement we have solved the main disadvantage of Bullpup rifles; case ejection. Traditional side ejection is not ambidextrous and forward eject, like in the FN 2000 or the Kel-Tec RFB, is quite complex.

The RDB (Rifle Downward-eject Bullpup) features a rotary bolt with a spring loaded ejector and an extractor facing down. The spent case is pulled backwards along the top of the magazine and then ejected through a vertical chute. The hammer is U-shaped and runs outside the chute and above the magazine. Obviously, the bolt travel is longer than traditional designs but well within the ergonomic constraints of a rifle. Other advantages are gravity assisted ejection and higher bolt energy at feeding.

The RDB is built around a common steel skeleton formed by the receiver and barrel sub-assemblies. Bolt, bolt carrier, firing mechanism, ejector chute and bolt stop are identical for all variations. The short stroke gas operated piston is fully adjustable for different ammunitions and muzzle attachments.

Always wanted to try a bull pup and these look like they are lefty friendly too!
Might have to give one of these a go

Can you please post some photos of the NR version. Went to your website and saw pre-order picture. Seemed to show longer barrel and non-ambi knob charging handle.

I was just curious and want to know what we are getting. The picture on Wanstalls website looks way different than the post picture and keltecs website if you zoom in. Front handgaurd, barrel length, and charging knob(MAC10) style? I would appreciate some pictures before I commit to a non refundable\store credit only pre-order.

The photo on Wanstalls website appears to be the exact same configuration as the RDB that was introduced at Shotshow 2014. That particular handguard style and charging handle was changed to the present configuration in 2015 I believe.

"Downward ejecting gravity assisted ejection"

So don't shoot the thing in modified prone or in any other dynamic situation (shooting through the problem board) ect

Good rifle and an outstanding price! Bought one to give company to it's elder brother the RFB and cousin the Tavor - as a vote for reasonable & sane pricing of Canadian firearms. The other manufacturers will be wise to heed to this trend if they want to gain a toehold here in the NR space.
