I wanted to increase my mag capacity to 10, but was too cheap to pull the trigger on 6 Cobras. I have lots of 38 super mags for my race gun and thought I would give them a try. I shot about 350 rounds on Sun through 4 different brand 38 supper mags.
My NP29 has a trigger job, King's barrel bushing, 12 pound recoil spring, polished feed ramp on both the barrel and frame.
Bullets included 115 gr round nose plated, 124 gr hollow point plated, 124 gr semi conical lead, 130 gr round nose plated and 147 gr semi conical lead. All loaded with tight group to around 135 PF.
I did not have even one FF/FTF with any of the mag or ammunition except with the 124 gr semi conical. The gun would not feed that bullet with any mag including the factory norinco mags. Everything else fed without a hitch
Must say this made me pretty happy and I saved some money in the process.
