Indeed you may be waiting a lifetime, the Bushmaster website is now listing the 18.5" barrel in 6.8 SPC as an accessory even though they apparently don't exist yet, at least Bushmaster is not selling them yet. So possibly a dealer in Canada may one day be able to convince Bushmaster to ship the ACR with these barrels or perhaps from their perspective (MAKING MONEY) they may make you buy a 16" barreled .556 gun and then sell you an 18.5" 6.8 barrel. The 18.5" barrels have been promised for a few years now but most people are not holding their breath and the really committed are just buying now and getting Herron Arms to make them a non-restricted barrel now. There is a forum in the US called "ACR Forum" where you can get all the latest details if you like, though from a mostly American perspective. (Technically the FRT says it is already non-restricted, it just has a restricted length barrel)
