Has anyone here removed their scopion evo muzzle brake from a factory 18.5 inch evo? Mine looks like its pinned and welded. Its indexed with no crush washer or anything like that so before i start trying to remove it i wanted to see if anyone has removed theirs

I purchased the faux suppressor from Dlask for my Evo a while back but haven't put it on yet. There are flats on the compensater for a wrench but I don't see any weld or pin.I don't think there is a crush washer like an AR type from what I can see.Let's wait and see if anyone answers your post.I'll put on my phony suppressor when I'm tired of the stock look.

The american carbine version has a brake with a crush washer to index the brake. This model i have doesnt have a crush washer. Its just a brake on the barrel. Thats why im wondering if they pinned it on. There is a hole in the top of the brake so thats why im curious if anyone else has removed one yet.

I just looked at mine and yes there does seem to be an indexing hole/pin.Could just be a conical pin that will rotate out if force is applied used in assembly.I can't see why they would not want it removed.

I e mailed Dlask to ask them the procedure. They must have took off at least one to test the fit of their faux suppressor before selling it the general public.I'll post when I get a reply.

Finally decided to put my fake can on.Put the gun barrel in a good vice with soft jaws and cranked it tight.Nineteen millimeter wrench and work the compensater back and forth till it gets loose then turn it off.Cleaned the factory loctite off the threads with a brass brush.Put a dab of blue loctite on and installed the Dlask faux suppressor .Looks good!

Can you post a pic please?

They (CZ) use gobs and gobs of threadlocker on them, must have a quota to use each day on the assembly line. Mine barely came off without needing heat or a vice.
