I received my new Shockwave Technologies Raptor Grip in the mail yesterday. I ordered it from their ebay.ca store. $45 shipped and took less than 2 weeks.

I think it looks badass! It went on quickly and easily. It feels awesome in my hand. Access to the action release is great with index finger.

I can't wait to take it out to the pit tomorrow to blast some 00 buck shot!!

Looks awesome and I've heard it's more comfortable than a standard PGO. I'm considering trying it myself. Let us know how it shoots.

It does feel really comfortable. Quite different than the standard pistol grip the 500 came with.
I didn't get out to shoot today, But tomorrow is another day!!
I didn't think that Shockwave even shipped to Canada because their website says no international orders. I emailed the guy, and he pointed me to ebay.

Well, I had a few minutes today to put a few shells through. 4 shells isn't much, but its all i had time for.

2 3/4 inch:

2 x #8
1 x 00buck
1 x slug.

the bird shot gave no wrist discomfort at all. shooting from the hip was easy and went pretty much where i pointed. i was about 15feet back. minimal kick.
the 00buck also gave no wrist discomfort. louder bang and bigger kick but still totally manageale. shooting from the hip went where i pointed. 15 feet back.
i held the shotgun up a little higher to help with aiming. no pain. manageable kick. decent accuracy.

tldr;
felt awesome. shot great. no pain. Totally worth the money!!!

when i do a youtube review/shooting video i'll post it here.

no video review to post yet.
i went shooting out at a friends recently and he was quite impressed with the way the raptor grip handles and looks. between his maverick, my 500 and my norinco outlaw, we went through a box of #8, and a bunch of slug/00 buck shot. once again the grip handled awesome. shooting from the hip is weird to get used to, but its coming along!!

I've received my today, after long struggle with CanadaPost (they have delivered it to the wrong address and considered it "delivered", of course! It is mostly luck that I've finally got it).
Extremely happy with it, can't wait to shoot the shotgun.

I own JIC II (Just In Case 2) variant of Mossberg 500 which comes with pistol grip. It is a takedown shotgun with a 18.5" barrel and beautiful matte finish and I love it. But the pistol grip it comes with is pain to use - I mean, it's really painful to shoot buckshot and slugs, it kicks your hand hard.

At some moment I decided to buy a shoulder stock, but it is annoying as hell to attach and detach it, and it makes the shotgun look and feel different. In addition it makes it impossible to use as a quick takedown shotgun, and it doesn't fit in case.

Finally, I decided to buy a Raptor grip, because I've read some good reviews of it.

The grip is simply great. Ergonomics is perfect, the look is 100% badass. It feels so good in hand that I don't want to return the shotgun back to the case. There is one bad point about it: moulding is not 100% perfect, so in few places it is rough or sharp, but it took maybe 5 or 10 minutes to remove all these spots with a small knife (it doesn't affect the look at all).

If anybody wants photos, I can take some, but generally it looks exactly like on pictures from the Net. The only thing photos cannot really express is a lovely texture of the grip surface and rock solid build.

ya post some photos! when i get a chance i'll take some while holding the shotgun, etc. I really want to promote this grip as much as I can.

its really odd to me that so many tv shows and movies show the mossberg with the standard wrist-pain-pistol grip. the raptor-style of grip has been around for a long time.

Next, I want to get a sweet scabbard to carry my 500 in.

I have one on my factory 14" 590. Keeps it just over 26.5". I like it a lot but I found it to be smooth to the point of being almost slick. So I cut a 2" piece of bike tire tube and stretched it over it from the small end. Feels perfect now.
