Nrl22 and bcprl rifle question

Looking to get into competitive target shooting and as I’m in the Okanagan Bc NRL22 and BC PRL look to be the best options. I currently have a cheap savage 64 precision but am looking at upgrading I. The coming months.
My questions are:
For base/ production classes
Bcprl shows a $1600 USD msrp
Is Nrl22’s $1300 Msrp also USD?

Also I’m looking at a cz457 varmint mtr and then adding a vortex diamondback or venom scope depending on what will keep me in the Msrp limits. Then once my skill increases I’ll put it in a mdt chassis and compete in open. Are only factory guns allowed? Or can I buy a barrelled action and drop it in an mdt chassis if it’s under the budget?
Thanks

The 457/venom setup will serve you well. I wouldnt worry about what division you fall into. Get a setup that fits you. There is a pretty steep learning curve and generally you will be competing against yourself.

Do not buy a Diamondback Tactical. The 6 mils/turn elevation will mess you up. Get a Venom. Don’t worry about the class. Buy what you budget allows. A chassis is the tool for the job for PRS/NRL/ORPS shooting.

as said, don't worry about the division
other changes to the rules have also removed some of the differences between the two

good question though about buying components and building your own
base or production used to mean something offered by a manufacturer
question came up about the CZ 457/MDT XRS combo, its not something on the CZ catalogue

Tesro sells some ready to go.

Thanks everyone, some good points on not worrying about the classes. We’ll see if I can up the budget to a mdt chassis or just starting with the varmint mtr.
Right now I’m just practicing with my savage 64 precision and really want to upgrade soon.

If you are able straight up afford what you want to upgrade to go for it. If not, what I would do is buy the optic and rings with a canted rail for your current rifle. If you are new to prs it's not likely going to be the rifle holding you back in the short term. A decent optic will be your best investment in learning the sport. Something with 10 mils per rotation and a 34 mm tube is a must have in my opinion. Once you find that the rifle is holding you back upgrade to the next rifle you want.

I ended up picking up a CZ457 Varmint Thumbhole and Discovery ED-PRS Gen2 5-25x56 scope.
I just did my first PRS match in Kamloops last weekend, what a learning experience. Had a lot of fun and will be doing more in the future. That said I wish I had just went for the mtr barreled action and an MDT chassis as the thumb hole is not the best for shooting off obstacles due to its lack of available arca rail.
I’m Planning to use it as is for the season and get either a MDT ACC or XRS chassis in the fall or this winter.

Current season of NRL 22 is now 1500 USD. This would allow you to put together a CZ MTR and an arken EPS as an example. Good luck its a ton of fun

Hey man, I was at that match, it was a blast. I am pretty sure it is within the rules that you can just add a universal arca rail to the chassis and still be in base/production.

To find out for sure what is permitted, you can check the primary leagues' website. BCPRL usually hosts matches under PRS and NRL22 is, well NRL22.
