There were many of us on the list waiting for the Savage Dark Eagle Custom magazines to arrive that were ordered months ago.
When they finally made it to NRM, they had to let everyone know that the magazines were pinned to 5 rounds by the US exporter who was following orders from the RCMP in regards to centerfire magazines... (this rule only applies to semi-auto firearms - these mags are for bolt action only)
NRM was quick to send an email giving each customer the option to either 1.) receive the magazine pinned 2.) have them remove the pin for us, or 3.) wait another few months for an unpinned magazine to arrive.... I went for option number two.
I was concerned about the hole from where the pin was in the very expensive mags (cosmetic issue only - does not effect function) but didn't want to have to wait so long to get the unpinned ones...
Well to my surprise, the magazines arrived this morning... they were unpinned, deburred, and the hole was filled to the point it was nearly invisible and unless you are looking for it, you would never notice there ever was an issue.
NRM went the extra mile to take care of their customers after a mistake was made, and it wasn't even their mistake!!
