Good Day!

Here is my review / comparison of my NTAC holster and the one purchased from Solely Canadian (Tim Smith aka rollie100), hope you guys enjoy and feel free to ask questions.
A little background, I took my Black Badge course with cheapo BlackHawk CQC holster. Although functional I wasn't satified. I searched online and decided to with an NTAC holster. After talking over the phone with the NTAC guy I decided to go for the "full meal deal" with the holster.
So from NTAC I got 1 G17 holster with TLR-1 light, coyote brown, 1.75 belt loops. ETA on delivery was to be 8 weeks.
Unfortunately, NTAC was very busy and I waited closer to 11 weeks.
Once it arrived, I was very impress with the fit and finish on the product. No dings, no scratches, no gauges. The retention was excellent. My only problem now was that the pistol will only stay in the holster if the light is attached. Therefor I needed a second holster. Unwilling to wait another 11-12 weeks for a holster I was unsure where to turn.
Fortunately, I found rollie100 here on CGN's.
We spoke about what I wanted and that I would compare his product to my NTAC holster. So here you go!!!
The Holster from Solely Canadian (Tim Smith, rollie100) is also for my G17 but without the light. Same colour and same belt loops.

Colour
Both holsters are of the same colour. There is very little difference between the 2 and let's be honest, coyote brown does have about 45 different shades.

Retention
NTAC-very tight and will need some break in.
Solely Canadian-I find it perfect right now. Time will tell if it loosens up.

Finish
NTAC-perfect!
Solely Canadian-because I was comparing the 2 side by side I did find a couple little guages or slices on the holster. Also I could still see the white markings from the processing. Neither of these are a big deal. I have shown the holster to a few people and I am the only one that has ever noticed them. I don't believe this to be a big issue.

$$$$ and delivery
NTAC- $90 plus shipping. Took approximately 11-12 weeks!!! I will say NTAC does have decent communication.
Solely Canadian-$50. Took approximately 1 month!!! AWESOME communications. Very open and willing to talk through the product. Super A+

Final thoughts
I really like both holsters. Side by side comparison is very favorable. The product that Tim offers is top notch! When you look at the price that Tim charges, his awesome communications and fast turn around time, no one should have anything to complain about. In the future the turn around time may be a little longer due to him being busy trying to keep up with demand for his quality product. My initial order to Solely Canadian was only for a holster but 1-2 weeks after placing my order I broke my POS mag holders. A quick email to Tim and I added 1xdouble mag and 1xsingle mag carriers that are great!!! They are of great quality just like his holster.
The only aspect that I really enjoyed of the NTAC was the configuration of the belt loops. NTAC bends the loops out (more a "U" shape) while Tim bends his in (more of a "C" shape). The way NTAC does it seems to hold tighter to the body and is in my opinion "cleaner". I mentioned this to Tim and I hope that my next product I order from him will be configure this way.
Long story short, for the price, quality, turn around time and supporting a CANADIAN small business I highly recommend Solely Canadian products.

Hopefully you guys have found this useful. Please feel free to comment and ask questions. If you are interested in a Solely Canadian Holster contact Tim Smith here on CGN his handle is "rollie100"

sorry for the ramblings and odd spelling mistake. I am very tired:D
