number 4 mk2 front sights

Filing the front sight seems borderline Bubba to me.im going to do it right .I'll look up that sight and get some happenin

Just be aware that the sets of front sights are for use with full value military loads, or their very close facsimiles. So, 174 grain spitzer @ 2440 fps +/- 40 fps - flat base to replicate Mark Vii and Boat tail to replicate Mark VIII. If you are using any other weight or velocity, it is going to be chance to find an appropriate replacement. You might want to follow the XS Sight Systems procedure for finding a front sight height for a ghost ring on a sporter - remove your existing front sight element, insert a replacement (as per there instructions, even a piece of wire will work) - you need a temporary front sight to fire a single shot, then trim / cut down the temporary front sight a bit, one more shot, etc. until you are close to zero. Then measure the end result height and you will know what height you are looking for. So far as I know, all the sight elements for Lee Enfield No. 4 are marked - there was a "0" in the middle, then a selection of + and - heights available that were each marked to their difference from the "0" element. I have no idea if such was available for the No.1.
