Just wanted to know which press; Lee Classic Turret or the Lee Pro 1000 has for rounds per hour when reloading at a steady pace. I'm at 100 rounds on a Lee Breech Lock Challenger Press. These are the only presses that I'm looking at right now.

having 3 primer trays full, a case collector and a box of 1000 9mm ready to go without any primer feeding issues i was able to get around 500-600 rounds on my lee pro1000. normally it's around 350/400 per hour.

If you are only loading h/g shells the Pro 1000 will be the one you want for production speed. if you are to be using a press for dual-purpose pistol/rifle loading ,the clasic cast turret press is the one you want.

I have the Lee Classic Cast 4-hole turret. Reloading both 9 and 45, I hit 150-200 per hour once "in the groove". Never used the Pro1000 so cannot comment on that one.

From priming to bullet seating, double checking all of my measurements etc. I can knock off about 30 rounds per hour of high quality .308 on my Lee single stage... I could probably get it up to 70 if I wanted to let my quality and consistency slide and make ammo that can safely go bang and nothing more.

.....oh wait, wrong thread!

For handgun and other plinking ammo, I can run off about 200rnds easily within an hour on my Lee Breech Lock press. Well, I cheat a bit. I'll flare and prime a bunch of cases ahead of time one day during the week and when it comes to load them up, I just need to dump powder and seat the bullet.

Depends on the bullets you are loading too, when I reload PLATED 9mm I can get 300 to 400 no problem, if I'm using lead cast bullets, a lot of time the bullet lube is in globs and I have to pick at a lot of them before I seat them, in this case, I get maybe 200/hour. My .45acp press is exactly the same but a slightly lower round count on account its a more forceful pull each time and it takes a toll on my high speed production LOL. Again, same with the 44 magnum, but slower like the .45acp.

Also take into account weather you have 1 Lee Pro that you have to swap over from one round to another just to get started, that can take some time as well. Or do you have several all set up waiting to do their job as soon as you bolt it down to the bench like I do, in this case, its 5minutes to get trays loaded up, powder poured into the hopper and weigh a bunch of charges to be sure nothing has changed.

I can't say for your presses but yesterday I reloaded 600 rounds of 9mm in 1 hour and 22 minutes on my dillon 550, only upgrade I have is the strong mount. Don't even have a roller handle.

According to my math. That's 439 an hour.

This is simple just reloading. Brass and bullets are right beside the press
