LOL. Onogoth, I'll buy all of your 300 round count rifles for the scrap value of the steel, just cause I'm a nice guy
There are some calibers known to be barrel burners, 6.5x284, 338 Lapua, but most regular calibers people use, are good for between 3-10,000 shots, depending. Depending on what? Powder capacity, relative to bore diameter, is the biggest determining factor, if you clean it properly, with appropraite regularity. If you clean it all the time, and don't know how to properly clean it, that'll kill a barrel quicker than any other possible way. Shooting the barrel too hot, chops barrel life as well. Also, your accuracy expectations determine barrel life. A benchrest shooter, is going to say a barrel is shot out and useless, with way less rounds than a varmint hunter, who once again, will write off a barrel with less rounds than a big game hunter.
Get a 30-30, and give it to your grandkids. Powder to bore capacity is silly low. You'll be shooting mainly larger things like deer with it, so you don't need top notch accuracy.
