Hi everyone,

Was in CTC in Kamloops the other day...talked to John there. He just got 60 Russian SKS in. 20 supergrade matching non frankenpinned laminates...some dark, some light. Says these will probably be the last. $369 plus taxes I believe.

Also had 20 nice but non matching $280ish??? and 20 shooter grades $249ish???. Shooters were ok but ugly with repair areas BUT a lot nicer than those rotten stock pieces of crap that are going around.

I know one supergrade left while I was there so not sure what is left.

Anyway, there you have it if you are looking.

The Cobourg ON. CTC store has Supergrade non refurbished, unissued, numbers matching SKS's for 299.95. A buddy of mine went in for a look. They were kind enough to wheel out a full crate of them for us to go over, they even provided latex gloves. First thing we spotted was 3 black bolts then noticed every butt pad was scarred up, all of them were blued in hardwood stocks though.

The person in charge of the firearms in there apparently went to North Sylva and hand picked a few crates. Don't think the guy really had a clue about SKS's.

Nice to see they had them though. They also had a large skid of crates of 1500rds of 7.62x39 corrosive ammo in a cage in the middle of the isle way. I think it was 369.95 per crate of 1500rds. I'm not up on the 7.62x39 ammo these days, doubting it is surplus ammo since the wood on the crates appears new, no paint etc...
 
The Sarnia Ontario CT has received some , I there at 9:30 am today , saw one in the show case , asked the guy behind the counter if I could see it , had my PAL in hand , He said " NO " ..

I asked him why not , have have handled many guns at this CT .

He said that no one on duty have their PAL so if I wanted to look at it and handle it I had to come back after 1 pm !!

I said , so you cannot sell any guns or ammo till after 1 pm today , he said Yup , come back after 1 pm if your interested ...........................................

I asked if they price matched other CT in Canada ,,,,,,,,,,,,,"hmmmmmmm I don't think so ..........."

He say that the tag ( price tag ) said $ 249.99 for the reg SKS with Bayo..

so $249.99 + 32.50 tax = $282.49 wow starting to climb to get one out the door ,,,,,, glad there would be no shipping lol.

I was in the Edson CT store today and they had a plain hardwood for $219..Then I went to the CT store in Whitecourt (an hour away) and they had the same gun for $269.what's up with that?

wow I guess I should run out and buy a bunch at $249.99 , save $20.00 each plus the tax /////////// lol.

You don't find a $50 difference from one town to the neighbouring town a little strange?

Yes , CT tells me that each store is owned buy different people so they make their own price points ..hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

FYI down here in SW Ontario we are Conservatives ,,,,,,,,,,, had enough with his Father years ago .............

But I will have a look at them and see what they have , perhaps a Super Grade hiding in the crate at $249,99 ...................Laugh2

You're a fool if you pay $249...btw where did you get this $249 number from?

Do you guys have a nearby Cabelas? If so then watch out fot their $189 sales.
 
That $ 249.99 was the tag on the Standard birch stock SKS with Bayo that was in the CT show case in Sarnia On.

No Cabelas down this way ..................

I was just kidding about buying a bunch at that price , but look at some of the London On. gun stores ,, SKS prices , they start at $279.99 ec for a Standard birch stock mis matched serial numbered SKS's with Bayo .

Chinese Military SKS are $ 239.99 ec

I will watch for the sales !

That $ 249.99 was the tag on the Standard birch stock SKS with Bayo that was in the CT show case in Sarnia On. , had a close up look at one , Motto marked , Black BBQ Painted , no matching numbers , front sight was sanded bright clean metal , forced matched stock , hand guard off colour from stock ............ I was told this is a Brand new shipment , is this what we can expect from what is coming into Canada .

Oh , I asked about price matching other CT stores or other retailers the answer was a resounding NO ! ovrec

Yes but some use brake cleaner on all parts of the sks, possibly hurtful to the stock and strips the protectant from the metal leaving it to rust quite quickly!
