So I was eyeing up the old triangle style handguards that are on Numrich, I was also thinking of ordering the gas tube and front sight from there but I'm not certain if they ship to Canada or not for things like this, it states that barrels action parts and some other things are a no go but upper assembly parts aren't mentioned. I don't want to order and then have them confiscated at the border. I've tried emailing and haven't got a response yet (emailed first two weeks ago), anybody order these types of parts from them before?

the canadian border wont confiscate any of this. the US letting it out is the problem.

Numerich will not ship anything not allowed. Order away, they will either ship or not. Note, they will ship up to $200 and they charge a $25 surcharge on all international orders, even if it is just a $5 part.

Nothing comes out with out permits I couldn't get a 3 $ detent pin for my 1911 without hassle and its well under the 100 $ mark they say for parts but its partbof the safety and they said that means it not a miner part, but the spring was ok go figure

If a manufacturer of any type of parts considered "arms" [Colt, KAC, LMT, Noveske etc...] or for "arms enhancement" [Magpul, Troy, Tango Down...], is not registered under ITAR, then no parts can be exported. AT ALL, not even a screw used or made by them. If they are registered with ITAR, a permit is still needed for legal export form the USA. Some parts do not need an end user certificate, and those parts can be shipped here if the total of "non essential gun parts" is 100$ or less. "Essential gun parts" such as receivers, or barrels, needs an end user certificate. You get those by applying for import for the parts here in Canada, and an export permit from the US. Anyone who has exported essential parts from Brownells knows that dance.

Wish there was an easy way to tell what will and what won't, oh well anybody know of anywhere that carries the triangular handguards in Canada?
