I have been buying from Numrich for a while now. Most of the stuff is fair to good with the odd piece in very rough shape. I just received 2 used #4 fore stocks and I have to say, they are scraping the bottem of the barrel. These things are just firewood grade. Huge ugly Ishy screw, no metal cap and lots of cracks. I have ordered used stocks befor and they were always passable. Not this bunch. I also received in the order a NOS forestock and it was in good condition with cap. Just a warning for my fellow rebuilders

Nothing new about it. Gunparts gives no guarantee of condition for milsurp parts. They never have given any guarantee either. It's in the small print on their site.

Sunray there may be nothing new about it but it's still worth mentioning. Especially for the benefit of CGN members that have not dealt with Numrich before. I try to buy two of smaller items when dealing with them because they are so hit and miss. I've also paid good money for stocks and other parts that were basically garbage. I don't think a fine-print disclaimer excuses them for taking my money and sending me crap that no reasonable person would find serviceable. Thanks for the heads up to the members Points.

Not to mention they are absolute d!cks when it comes to slapping on ridiculously huge "shipping and customs" fees when shipping parts to Canada.

Numrich is "parts dealer of last resort" for me. I'll go a long way tracking down parts within Canada to avoid Numrich.

I got lucky once when I ordered a #1 MK3 nosecap from them. It still had a chunk of wood attached with the retaining screw, which I needed anyways....:)
In the past I had them ship my parts to a US postbox service, but then they got a a hair up their ass, and said they would ship only to the billing address. I haven't used them since.

I sent back a pitted M1 Garand trigger group , they replaced it with a VG condition one and covered the shipping.........Harold

They sent me a no 4 rear sight, a mk 3 with the peep site broken off. I contacted them and they sent me a replacement with the catch broken off. I thought, nahhh, they'll never send me a third one so I combined the two and made one good one.

I normally get my wood off ebay. numrich is great for small parts and metal... I never even thought about buying a stock from them.

I have several purchases under the belt from Numerich and I rather like them, they seem to have the stuff you can't find anywhere else but I have received old surplus slings that looked like the dog ate them and pooped them out haha

I have had the odd part from numrich, 95% is all good. if I did get a pc of garbage, I called them to arrange a return and got back a better quality item(s).

they do take pics of an item if you are in doubt of the condition and will email it to you before you commit to purchase and if you like the item pictured is what is sent .As for the 35$ fee usually make up an order to make it worthwhile ,I realize you may only need one item ,so it is not to hard to get a few others to throw in with you and share the cost if it is not availiable at your local gun shop

I just ordered as well.

Forends are bottom of the barrel. Stay away. The metal bits were pretty bent out of shape as well. Had decent finish but the barrel bands were contorted in unholy positions. I was tempted to return the items, but i managed to bend them back into shape without snapping them in two.

The $35 fee covers customs. I didnt have to pay any duties on my $250 order. It does suck they only ship to billing address. i have a US address and they refused to ship there. Shipping and the fee were not too shabby though considering.

Did I miss something? As long as the stock part is allowed for export per ITAR then it should be good to go. Most exporters seem to have an order limit of $100, but Numerich must have some special type of export license because they ship $200 international orders (to non-prohibited countries under ITAR) and $1,000 orders to Canada - wow that's new. Unless something has recently changed, it's legal to import milsurp gun stocks into Canada (there may be exceptions of course). Volkov956 what kind of gun stocks are getting blocked at the border, and by whom, the US or Canada Customs?
