I saw that book In the RCMP museum Book Store (depot) but for 69.00 I will have to live in the dark as to what was issued to who and when....:p
 
The RCMP and corrections museum in PA is free so I went and took a few pics.
Sorry about the quality.

This revolver and the Thomson below were both RCMP issue.

I am not an expert but the lack of a Kutts compensator dates it as an early model so mid 1920's seems reasonable.

Also I think the current RCMP handguns are .40 cal sigs?
