Has any one had the illumination turn on in their scope while shooting. Mine has loosened up to the point that it turns on by the third shot and I have to keep turning it back off. Just wondering if they is an easy adjustment to make as I prefer not to send it in.

I would say you have a problem, none of my NF come on like that. When I turn my illimination on they all make a distincive Click sound when it locks in.

I know I have an issue. Just wondering if it is an easy fix I can do. Another guy on a different board has the same issue but it isnt a common one. It wasnt this loose when I got it but seems to be loosening up.

NIGHTFORCE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shortly after I sent me email I got a response on how to fix it. Went to the garage and grabbed my precision screwdriver set as my Mac master set didn't have the proper size in it. I had to ground my smallest one down a bit to fit and adjusted as per Kens email. Problem fixed. Now THAT is customer service!

I will be getting another Nightforce, I have 2 now. As far as I am concerned the warranty is just as good as Leupold and the price is not far off these days.

Is it a long winded repair.....or is it short and easy to copy/paste here?

hint, hint, ;)

Here is the repair if you are having the issue. You need an extremely small precision screwdriver to do it. My smallest was a 1.4mm and I had to fill it down.

1. Turn on the illumination
2. Locate the four-detent screws in the center of the turret (these are in the gap in the turret, created when the illumination is turned on)
3. Using a small jewelers flathead screwdriver, give each detent screw half a turn
4. After you have given each a half turn, attempt to push the illumination turret to the off position. If the tension is too great, back off the detent screws slightly by .25 turn.
