Nylon 66 stock broke

I wondered how brittle those old nylons were getting after all these years. Yikes !!

I would "bed" the inside with fiberglass sheet & use the resin for the out side.Canadian tire has it.

Never had any luck bonding these. The stock needs replacement.
Call Remington customer service. They might be able to help.

Would be interesting to know what Remington would do for you before you try to fix it. Let us know what they say if you contact them if you don't mind.I have one to (Not broken) so I would be interested to hear how you make out.

basically nothing. nylon is very tough to fix as it absorbs water and is very slick. You could try heat welding

We have a ultrasonic plastic welder at work. I might give that a try. I was pretty shocked when it broke like that. It's my favorite little rabbit gun. Thanks for the ideas guys.

You will not find a glue or epoxy that will bond that stock. Anything that holds it together will be simply holding the pieces in place not holding them together, and ugly beyond your wildest dreams to boot.

You will have to find a replacement stock somewhere, or make yourself a new one (good luck!) Unfortunate. And it's an Apache too :(

given that the break is forward of the barrel hanger and nut , you have nothing to lose by trying epoxy or some other method- ie the gun can still be used as that section of the stock is just for looks anyway- and I don't think that ugly counts at this stage in the game anyway- as far as zytel breaking down goes, maybe, maybe not- I've got a19 69( joking aside) and it's still as sound as the day I bought it= if nothing else works, i'd drill and mount something like a pictunny rail on the bottom ands epoxy the whole u- joint-

that's why I would exhaust all other avenues before replacing the stock- and it's a non- critical break anyway
