NZ banard actions ?

Don't you dare

1. really nice actions, I now have 2, 1 in a manners stock, and a second in a BR stock just waiting a light Br barrel for a benchgun (maybe the only one in canada) as the stock is partly my design JTR by robertson

and unfortunately robertson usually has them in stock and nice to finish in a robertson stock,

the other ACIS stock is nice maybe get a folder from alberta tactical, I have one on order and should be here maybe next week,

the only thing i am looking for is a fat barrel with fluting like the coyote, that would be sweet, maybe a coyote next year,

later Jefferson

These are top notch actions, I would not hesitate, in fact I did not hesitate and that is why I also own 2 of these.

Both are in heavy F-class stocks with heavy barrels, one is a 7mm magnum and the other is a 6mm wildcat. Both are outstanding, I have no regrets

They are superbly built, stout actions with a 4-lug design and exceptional tolerances. My only complaint is that you need to be careful about locating your scope. If you use a large scope and it sits too far back, it can interfere with removing the bolt. It is a minor issue and can be entirely avoided.

They are a terrific action, and their trigger is incredible.

Barnard does make a tactical style rifle, and I have seen one in the flesh... very nice gun! Chat with Robertson Composites (The Canadian Distributor) and ask for Ian.

Fixed. RPA is 4, but Barnard is 3, which some say lead to fewer feeding issues.

I can't believe I wrote that..... thanks!

Yes, 4 lug designs can be a bother with 223 type cases as there is a raceway along the bottom of the action that can cause feeding issues. This issue caused an incident at a range that has affected the proceedures for clearing rifles at all fullbore matches now.

Barnard single shot actions come in Model P which is the heaviest of the single shot/non-magnum (larger diameter), and 'S' whch is the same diameter as Rem 700. The 'SM' action has a bottom cut out for a magazine...and I believe that Barnard says are built to accomodate the HS Precision mags...there are a couple of other mags that are also compatable
