So I reloaded some .40 S&W
155gr plated FN
I got a few with 1.116" - 1.117" in overall length.
Others varied from 1.121" - 1.125"
Why such variances?
Is seating die moving? Also are these all with in spec?
I seem to find max OAL, but never find Min.

OAL is determined by your chamber, not the one use in the book.

Load long and camber the round. The bullet should show rifling marks. Load another round, and turn seater in a quarter turn and chamber that round. See marks? Another quarter turn. etc. Until You see no marks. NOTe that as the OAL for that bullet in your gun.

I remove the barrel from my gun and use it as the seating gauge.
