does anyone have a OAL that should be followed for reloading 9mm??
I was on reloadbench.com, but the pics there are not up until Dec now- he is re-doing them all
Thanks everyone

Dave

1.135 is the standard OAL for a factory ammo. This is designed to fit almost every 9mm magazine for especially glock 9 mm magazines.
You can lenghten the OAL of your ammo, but will depend what type of handgun and magazine you are using. If you are using a production (straight from the box gun) then I suggest you stick with the 1.135 OAL.
Your OAL will depend on what type of gun you are using the 9mm reload.

I am waiting fo rmy P85 to come in
First 9mm for me- I reload 38, and 45 ACP now- I know the 9mm is a high pressure load, wanted some info for it

Thanks
Dave

I have seen that , and am buying it from a dealer, SO I HOPE it has been done .
I cant see it being a tough fix- firing pin and spring- I can replace it here if needed I think

Thanks for thinking of the safety issue- I do appreciate it, and will be using the gun for IDPA mostly, so it does need to be looked at

I have a P89D great gun for the price As for OAL I try to stick to the OAL used in the test data..For example a very accurate load for my pistol consists of 125 gr LRN bullet sized to .356 with 4.1 grains of Unique. The tested OAL is 1.150 which works fine in my pistol. So if you stick with the OAL as tested you should not go wrong unless you encounter a feed problem. Enjoy your Ruger :D
