Stuart
A Oberndorf Mauser A/N in 303 British, but what is rare about this specimen is that it never got to England and was never proofed in a British Proof house.
It is one of a very few remaining rifles with the Intermediate action designed for the British trade that was not actually exported to England. It was made for the British trade but a few ( ? less than 100 ) were kept behind, many used as test guns and then destroyed.
It is pure Mauser complete with all its German proofs and caliber in metric stamped on the underside of the barrel.
