Obligations once you've sold a gun in a private sale?

I want to just verify what my obligations are when and if I sell a gun privately? I know I should verify their PAL but do I need to notify any other authorities when selling a non-restricted firearm? I have recently purchased an SKS from a gun store and he wrote down my name and PAL # but he indicated that it was only for his records. When the long gun registry was up and running I believe we had to send them some paperwork when transferring ownership of a firearm but thankfully the registry has sunk.

2) take money
3) hand over firearm
4) shake hands and part ways

That is all.

You only have to be sure that the buyer of your non-restricted, has a valid PAL.
