I've been lurking here for a little while athough until now my infantry training hasn't left me much time.
Now that I've been settled into battalion (RCR) for a little while, I'm planning on getting my PAL/restricted some time soon. Most of my friends are hunters and although I do want to pursue that hobby as well, I'm hoping to a get a black rifle (AR) to become as proficient with it as I can, as the CF doesn't always provide for a lot of trigger time.
Of course, budget works it's way into things as always, so I'm going to be looking for something that's a little more economical to buy/shoot then a .223 AR. a general purpose shotgun will be early on the shopping list as well but i don't want to get too far ahead of myself as I havn't even picked up the study books for a license yet.
