Hi, my name is diva and I have just turned 18. I have completed all the exam required. I will be going to university at London, Ontario(move from bc). The problem is I will be living in the dorm. Perhaps the main problem is how convince my parents to be my reference? (can my parents be my reference?)(They live in Hong Kong) Also, they are anti-gun. Moreover, where should I mail it to? Please help, I am a noob!
sure, but the problem for now is to convince my parents to be my parents and the rcmp to let me have a license even though i live in a dorm

Are you sure? Then, I can't get the license. Anyway around it? You are going to Western too?
Is Western the only university in London? I need to run my id is disclosure. :> j/k

"...Western the only university in London?..." Yep.
"...my id..." Citizenship/immigration papers.
You must know somebody in B.C. How long did you live there?
This is what the application says. Nothing about 'family'.
"A reference is anyone who has known you for at least three (3) years and is at least 18 years old. However, he or she CANNOT BE your current conjugal partner."
"...where should I mail it to?..." Central Processing Site PO BOX 1200, Miramichi, NB. E1N 5Z3
"...will be living in the dorm..." That will be a problem. Doubt you'll be able to store firearms in the dorm.
You'll have to join a club to shoot too. You driving?

I am confident that firearms are not allowed in the dorms.
MANY years ago there was an indoor range in Thames Hall. I very much doubt if it still exists.
If you have not been in Canada all that long, you will need documents from your previous police service that you have a clean record.
You can always call the CFC and discuss your situation and the application process with them.
I would suggest that you make contact with Stormbringer, here on CGN. If you have transportation, the EESA is not far from London.

The main problem is how to I obtain my license. Hiding guns from adults are easy LOL
j/k
Plus the second problem is to convince my parents to be my reference!

What is EESA?

What the hell know you have firearms at dorms :>
conjugal partner[/qupte]
What is conjugal partner?
By the way it seems like it is harder to obtain gun license than explosive license
although the fee for explosive license fee is $$$. Isn't explosive more dangerous?

You are correct, although my daughter was thinking of fighting that rule as they allow "sporting equipment".

It does not exist. As a matter of fact the backstop from the UWO range now forms 1/3 of the EESA indoor range backstop.

DA DAAA DAAAA Here I am..........

What is EESA?

?

www.eesa.ca

Gun club about 45 minutes SE of UWO.

If you need a place to store your guns you can always keep them at my place.

My daughter goes to UWO but has her own appartment in London.......

Someone you live with as in a wife, spouse, same ### partner, etc.

I graduated from western 2 years ago. I remember in my year at rez the rules were a bit relaxed. Now they check students who bring in alcohol to the dorms, imagine the uproar over a firearm! It will never be allowed.

Even explosive is tolerated in my high school, so it is pretty hard to imagine uproar of firearm
LOL guns coz more panic than bombs LOL
Wonder why?
Atomic bombs are scary too j/k
