Hey everyone, newb here (obviously). On the PAL application form it asks if in the last five years you have been diagnosed with any behaviour disorders. Well I was diagnosed with OCD and was on some anti-axiety/depressant meds for awhile. I have been taking those meds for the last year and a half because the "symptoms" are mostly gone. Any idea if/how this could affect my application?

Variations of your situation have been posted here many times. Don't hide any information. Be honest in your application. They may do more checks. Your PAL may be delayed. Whatever happens, tell the truth and let the chips fall where they may. In light of the recent tragedy in Moncton, who knows what the mood of the CFOs lie....?

There obviously are other factors at play.

O.P. Like others have said it may take a bit longer , but there is no reason to deny for what you have stated. If there is a denial there are mechanisms to find out why and to appeal the decision.

lol I was at a match and seen competitors pop psych medication like pez. That tells me anything is fair game. Medication is what keeps you on level, then keep taking it. Go ahead and apply. Of far greater importance is your references and relationship with your doc

Well, my application showed up online today and I figured I'd just call them and see if I missed anything or if they needed more info about my OCD. Lady only said that I just had to have a reference call in for the interview. Unfortunately both my references were busy and couldn't make the 5PM deadline so I'll have to wait until Monday :(
