Octagonal Barrel 9.3x62

Looking for options to rebarrell my Brno ZG47 in 9.3x62. Want to do an octagonal barrel, preferably with a top band/rib all one piece like the Lothar Walther one. Tried getting info. from Lothar and the Canadian rep. they passed me onto, but between the two neither seemed interested in selling a barrel (curious business philosophy). I see Lija does octagonals so I'll give them a try, but are there any other options. Looking to keep it short 20" perhaps 21". Fall back option is a straight octagonal without the band, but if I'm going all out might as well get exactly what I want !

Do any of the Canadian makers offer a .366 barrel? I'm thinking Ron Smith might. The fitting and milling shouldn't be too impossible a job, but I'm no smith.

Bevan King made 9.3 barrels. He is retired, but may have one around his shop.

He also did octagonal profiling.

I recently bought a 9.3 McGowan blank from Bits of Pieces in Delta, BC. McGowan will do octagon for $115.00. Perhaps Bits of Pieces can order one.

Nope! When I was specing out my switch barrel rifle, I intended to get a .366 barrel from Ron, but he doesn't make them. He does make a .375 barrel, and I had one of his barrels on my .375 Ultra, which shot like a varmint rifle by the way. Instead I went with the .375 Scovile; having a Ron Smith barrel matters more to me than having another .366 Wagner. BTW, Ted put his stamp of approval on my choice.

yes maybe a Krupp steel barrel maybe another option.

if the OP really want a lothar walther there is 2 options.

- contact the factory in Germany they speak better English than I lol.
- contact the US importer the fee to import one will be 50$ with prophet river.

Call Ralph martini. It won't be cheap, but it will be beautiful!

Rolf Martini makes a nice Octagonal to round barrel with integral rib, sling swivel and front sight base , as was the German tradition on top grade rifles. I think it is around 2K, so it is not for a Rem. 700.
