Odd Chinese 7.62x39

I suspect you're wondering if it is corrosive primed. The answer is MAYBE. I had two different crates of the same ammo but from different lots about a year apart. The early one seemed to be corrosive but the later case wasn't. Luck of the draw I guess.

It is Berdan primed and uses painted steel cases just like milspec ammo.

It is loaded to the same velocities as milspec ammo with full metal jackets other than this stuff is loaded with soft points. I used it on a couple of Deer and calling it soft/expanding ammo would be a bit of a stretch. Very small exit holes.

The rounds themselves sorta look like the old China sports ammo. It's weird how Norinco or China sports etc. isn't actually wrote somewhere on the box though.
I'd treat it as corrosive personally just in case.

Looks like reloaded Romanian steel cases. What's the headstamp? Treat it as corrosive just in case.

If you're unsure of this ammo send it all to me and I will tell you everything you'd ever want to know about it :)

Just another comedian typing clever commentary about "Chinese crap" on his Chinese-made cel or computer...

Thanks for the info. Wasn't too concerned about if the ammo is corrosive or not as I'll be shooting them both with corrosive and non-corrosive ammo. Just was looking for unimportant information on this ammo as I got it for next to nothing and was just hopping it wasn't #### ammo.
