I was trimming my 308 brass today, and somehow or other, I ended up with 2 Winchester cases that were almost 1/8 shorter than spec. It was only the neck that was shorter. Anyone ever see this? The cases were perfectly square, so they had to come from the factory that way.

I've found one or two like that when picking up brass at the range I go to. I don't remember the headstamp at all though.
I had a friend who said he found a whole pile of brass like that and he was going to contact the manufacturer to try to get free ammo. Turns out he had 300 Savage brass and it was the proper size (it has a shorter neck).
