I have always liked the Ruger M77 Mk II, especially in its stainless synthetic version, this is probably why i own 3 of them. Does anyone recall the all weather version being produced in some of the rarer rounds that ruger chambers, like the 257 Roberts, 6.5x55 or 7x57?

can't thnk of a better combination for the west coast than an ''all weather'' 6.5x55 swede....my nice Ruger no.1 that I carried on sunny days stayed in the gunsafe and on rainy days I carried my bubba'd swede-and shot most of my deer

I turn 25 on the 23rd, if i croak before i get the collection, it will be work related. That 77/50 in the exchange has my attention now, but i suppose i should go work a bit so i can get it.:(

They're just such a wonderful utilitarian gun, i wouldn't be surprised if, when i croak, that is all i have for rifles.:D

Agreed, they're beefy for sure and lots of great features for the price. They will never be as smooth as a Sako and Bill Ruger would never approve a banana mag for them ,but they do the job for me and do it well.

Yes, that one caught my attention too. However, we don't have a muzzle loader season in BC, so there's not much point (for me anyway). But I did find a nice 243 that is on the way - with factory open sights too.:D
