I've been thinking about buying an AR for a while now and really enjoyed the review on the O'Dell LMSR2 and am wondering if anyone has any experience with it?

I did a search and there's a couple references to O'Dell for AR parts, but that's the extent of it. nothing came up for the LMSR2. :(

their site kinda sucks and the details are limited...but it's a hybrid poly/aluminum lower. I believe the 'Preimum' comes with a High Power upper, but forget what the brand the 'Intro' comes with. I'll have to re-read the review in the current Calibre magazine again.

their comments about how comfortable it is to shoot the gun is what impressed me the most.

I can find several of our sponsors with the Intro, but none with the Premium, which is rather annoying, to say the least. :p

We have sold many of the omni gen 2 lowers
And many of the gen 1 lowers
Yes 1 are very basic, great little plickers but not as well built as the gen 2

O,dell is an importer , as well as many other things.
The guns are a bunch of different products they have imported and assembled in canada.
Different grades depending on price
O,dell did this when AR15 were very hard to get at a good price a. 2 yrs ago.

hey bbb, who makes their poly/alu lower? the review in Calibre makes it sound like that is theirs while they bring in a couple different uppers.

they must have misunderstood what O,dell told them, They are all assembled and checked in Canada nothing is made here by o,dell, not that that matters.
The lowers are made by ATI as in American tactical imports Inc.

The Top grade model is using a High standard upper, which is full mil spec, HS is and OEM from more then 1/2 of the Us AR15 gun makers, or should say was until the market crashed.

The ATI lowers are very well made, the gun 2 I think is very good product, what people don't understand , unlike most semi auto guns, the ar15 lower does not do to much, it not a high stressed part, as long as made in spec, its the Upper that takes all the stress.

Honestly, these are approaching or over the price of what a colt would cost, so it would be really hard to justify the cost. Same for motuik
