ODPL Practice sessions

I noticed on the website that Galt and Colby have weekly practice sessions. Do you have to be a member to participate, and is there any cost?

At colby there is no cost if you are a member, however if you are not a member there is a small fee. I can't remember what that fee is however.

I'm probably looking moreso at Galt since it is closer to home, I have CSSA insurance so I don't know if that helps/lessens the cost

As a member of Galt, I can only tell you the policies.

We have practice every Tuesday at the Indoor range from 7pm to 10pm (usually finished around 9 or so).

Main gate at Galt is only open (for public use) on Wednesdays and Sundays. (Shotgun ranges open for public use). Indoor range now has a passcard system for access (Feb 09). So non-members who want to come out and practice would most likely need to some out with a member of Galt & the Indoor section. Guests @ indoor pay a fee of $5 (I believe) and are only allowed 3 visits before being required to join. (I believe it is 3 visits per year).

The visit number does not include official matches and such open to all welocome/invited/qualified individuals.

Not in practice sessions @ Galt. You can come by and we will start you from low ready positions. You will not be able to perform some of the techniques however (Turn and draw, etc...) and you will not be scored. Unless you are a member of the indoor section, you are limited to 3 sessions as a guest and pay $5 per session.

Oh BTW. Galt's practice nights cost $2. It goes into a 50/50 draw. Half to the winner, half donated toward the purchase of new materials
