so I have had this rifle with a brown bored out oem wood stock on it for a long time. after threading the bbl a few weeks ago (14mm ccw) I decided I could do a whole lot better on the stock. chopped the forend, sanded out the old finish and stained it grey. much better, kinda looked homely before.

The rifle has fired many many thousands of rounds, and has thousands of kills from birds, gophers, foxes, badgers, skunks, ect ect and a handfull of coyotes. infact the breach face is looking a bit beat up on the old GM heavy barrel.

feel free to post your pics of modified oem 10/22 stocks as well.

You got to love the 10/22 platform. Cheap to shoot, anywere. Tons of aftermarket parts to play with. I just picked up 2 challenger stocks and a barrel. the one stock is plastic. I want try and put a wire butt on it with the 8 in barrel and try to keep it over the 26.5 in mark. Going for the sub-machine gun look lol. Great builds guys. Happy shooting.
