I've received a number of PM's about this lately and could not give any answers but today I found out that an email problem was the cause and the person phoned me when she found out. This is North of Toronto - Caledon/Hyw #9 area.

Hi Adrian,

The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) is planning another
coyote workshop at the Islington Sportsmen's Club (January 30, 2016). We
were wondering if you would be interested/available to speak on coyote
hunting/calling techniques again.

Please contact the OFAH about it if it interests you.

I also asked and received this reply this morning about Ottawa

Thanks for heads up, we also received an email from folks in the Ottawa area. There is a workshop scheduled Feb 6th in Perth, we have some local guys assisting with this workshop (OFAH Zone F). I believe the information should be on our website as well.

I will more than likely be heading to this. If anyone in the ottawa area wants a lift, I have room in my truck.

Is it an all day event or just a few hours?

Here's a draft itinerary for the Perth event. I imagine it's the same or similar for the Caledon one.

9:15 Welcome
9:30 to10:00 Livestock Predation, Evaluation and Preventatives Measures – Ontario Sheep Marketing Agency
10:00 to 11:00 Coyote Biology, MNRF
11:00 to 11:15 Coffee Break
11:15 to 11:45 Hunting with Hounds
11:45 to 12:30 Calling Coyotes
1:15 to 2:15 Fur Handling and Relaxing Cable Restraints, Ontario Fur Managers Federation
2:15 to 3:00 MNRF Enforcement
3:00 - 3:15 Questions and Closing Remarks

I went to Perth this weekend for the workshop. I'm glad I did. It was very informative. I won't re-hash the presentation here, but I'll say this. I look forward trying a distressed turkey/pheasant/woodpecker call and decoy by the treeline of a field. I don't know why I'd never thought of that.
