I am interested in off-set scope mounts for some of my milsurp and similar rifles.
I like these mainly because I had thought that they allowed use of the charger guides and easier access to the magazines for top-loading them.
But recently in talking to a more accomplished milsurp shooter, I was told that this is not the case and in fact; *no* off-set scope mounts allow access to the charger guide and all impede top-loading of the magazines. This confuses me, as I had though that was the whole point of an off-set mount?
