Just picked up my new Norinco CQ from the post office. Not bad at all!

One things that surprised me a little. it came with one 10 round LAR mag instead of two 5 rounders. not sure if its a good or a bad thing. Is that what everyone getting?

hmm I do remember reading someone saying original mags are junk. maybe the dealer was doing me a favour? hmm...

Finally decided to take it down for cleaning and figure out how these things work.. I'm glad I didn't just take it to the range - as the the 'tampon' in the breech might have caused some problems. :p I was impressed with both the fit & finish and the simplicity of the AR design; I didn't need a manual to figure it out. Taking it to the range this afternoon.
 
Now you just need to get rid of those handguards:

uhh lucky u our lazy A** CFO is not doing his job,, im waiting for mineeee grrrrrrrrrr... i,ve got colt mags pinned 5/30 and LAR mags i hope they workk in norinco cuz ive got lots of em

How long have you been waiting? I've never waited more than a day or two for a restricted transfer (except for the first because of LTATT). I would phone them everyday until it was done.
 
my transfer is done and ive got the papers but the seller is waiting for the shipping allowance from BC CFO have u ever had this problem before? it has been 2 weeks now and the seller keeps saying his waiting for conveyance ? 8'S

Thats odd, I just had a transfer go through a couple weeks back and it only took two days.
