Offset for 1 pc optic mount on AR?

Looking at putting a 1-4 or 1-6 scope on an AR. I’d like to use a 1 pc QD type mount and keep my back up sights on, tucked under the scope. Does anyone know what kind of offset in the mount is ideal for this? I’ve seen mounts with both 2 and 3” off sets

Agreed, I use the “scout” mount to reduce weight but ADM is the brand I use.

ADM or KDG Off-set 1 pc mounts.

These things are built like a tank. I'm sure there are others out there but these 2 brands I have them on my builds and they are solid.

Great customer service as well on ADM.

I don't use backup sights, but looking at my mounts I would go with a minimal front to back offset.

I have a few ADM recon mounts and the recon-x is the one with 3" offset. If you don't know what scope you're getting you won't know what offset you'll want.

I just got a Kinetic Development mount from Rampart and I really like that the ring position is adjustable so it's compatible with more scopes. I also like the QD feature of this mount better than the ADM.
