For a while I had this Marlin 336 I got in a sale, I decided to get some XS peep sights for it, they work excellent, but when I was taking off the factory rear sight, the dovetail looked quite a bit off centre, I have since come to the conclusion that the barrel was overtorqued when they put it on at the factory, hence the front sight is somewhere to the left of "12 O'clock" maybe 1157 or something like that, I had to move the rear sight far to the left to get the windage correct, it's okay now, but it resembles a bren gun when you look at the sights! :p - I don't think it will hurt anything I will just have to live with it I guess, it's probably not worth getting fixed.

Contact marlin and see if they offer to do anything. Worst they will say is "No"
