This past weekend i took place in my first skeet event , what a blast! i got so many good tips from great national shooters, im hooked , i did alright too becuase the 28 and 410 calibers i had never shot before, my score was as follows, 12 guage-16+20=36(50) 20 guage-18+18=36(50) 28 guage-20+20=40(50) 410guage- 14+19=33(50) grand total out of 100=145, just under 75% , i have been shooting about twice a week for only 4 months and let me tell you when your in a comp with guys like doug burdett and reg hooper as well as ladies champion for the last 25 years in ontario joan ego you get very nevious, thats just a taste of the caliber of shooters that were there .i bombed on my 12 guage and i ussually shoot 21, 22,23 rounds, great people , great time , come out and watch a skeet comp if you can , the advice and tech you will get is worth its weight in gold. i would personally like to thank lorne and his father norman for lending me their 28, and 410 , total class thank you , thanks you too all who came and helped me out , i look forward to more shoots and some day the olympics, not with those scores but maybe some day

Congrats on your first shoot.

I hope to see you at the Ontario Championships the long weekend in August.

Any idea who won the shoot?

Brad.

I am sorry i dont know who one, their was so much paper work flying around, really well run though , orillia gun glub did a great job, i hope to attend the ontario championships as well as a shoot at kirkfeild range i beleive july 17th or so but i only want to go to shoot and get more instructions, i realized a long time ago your not competing against other shooters , your competing against your self, and i hope to meet you at a shoot as well

When you are talking to Frank Stewart about the Kirkfield shoot, ask him about Todd Bender. Todd will be at Kirkfield the week before the shoot giving lessons. Bender is one of the best instructors there is. He is not inexpensive, but in the long run it is well worth it.

Zelly what happend??? 16 and a 20 for 12 ga???? Must be those new homemade loads your making.... Im glad you got to try it out. There is another shoot with a Hunters Class coming up soon. Shawn, Dave and myself are probally going to enter.
And take bmcrae's advice about Todd Bender, all the guys at the club speak really highly of him.
