Oh #### Kit

Any of you Garand shooters out there have one piece of brass you can spare so I can build myself a bolt repair kit for my M14? PM me if you can help a brother out.

Yup, you only need one piece of .30-06 brass. Chances are there will be some in the tall grass (under the ice and snow for now) at your gun club!

Or maybe .270 if others can mail you one... easier and cheaper to scrounge one locally!

Good luck on putting together the 'Oh-Shzt' Kit for your M14... Don't forget to get one together for your Service Rifle/ CQB rig, too!

just so you know, a case with a similar size of base would work, so that would be any cartridge based off of 30-06 or .308/7.62 NATO/7.62x51..... that might be....

7.62.39.... anyhow, I'd be trying these if there's difficulty finding a piece of 30-06.

I think the idea using a 30-06 case instead of .308 is the added leverage the longer case will give you. Other thoughts out there?
