Russian military firearms cannot be imported into the states since the early 90's I believe. I heard they have about 100-120,000 in the country.

They command a major premium because of it.

Americans paying nearly twice as much for an SVT as an M-1 from the CMP, and even alot of coin for a lowly SKS. Seems to me if you look at a picture of the U.S. in regards to firearms, Canada truly is their negative.

If all the SKS's and SVT's found their way to the states and the occasional one was dropped here accidentally,....only connoisseur's of fine military firearms with enough cash would be able to buy it and brag of their wondrous construction and uber reliability and show us pictures of these holy grails for us bottom feeders to drool over,...but in reality we pay only $159 for them and $225 for a 1400 round crate of their wondrous reliable ammo. And here they are not real rifles and those who own them and collect them are just bottom feeders anyway.

LOL,..... Thank God they are not allowed into the US!!!! The Canadian SKS and the SVT are the best military rifle deals on the planet! Bar none.

Most likely flattened, not shortened. But anyway, stock is gone. I have Finn captured SVT with bubbaed stock like this, except colour is black. Will put it for sale shortly.

The fact that the bolt is purplish shows that it was refurbished. $1000? I think this guy got high off the fumes from that awful paint!
