the story i got is that this rifle and a 577/450 martini came from south africa many years ago ..on the butt of the Long Lee is

on the receiver is stamped

with another sold out of service mark
on the buttplate tang
lined out but readable
S.R.V.E.D

the rifle is a BSA 1895
on the martini the S.R.G is stamped on the knox form as well as a C. S.
