Ok found a pick of an od feature on the sagvage rifles

i found a pic of a savage with a button infront of the trigger gaurd by dads has this feature by mine doesn't

if it's the same it's the bolt release but every model they show seam to have the release mounted on the top on the left side of the recaeaver just above the trigger

does any one have any info on this feature

New feature for the 2008 savage 10/110 series of bolt rifles.

The rear action screw is right there so not sure how that could be a release lever for the bolt. I would say it is the release lever for the hinged floorplate.

I just confirmed that it is indeed the new location of the bolt release. Refer to page 22 of the Savage Arms catalogue.

od though cause some of they're models still have it the predator hunter that was on display still had the release on the side like mine my dads has it they're

the mag release is forward of the mag

so now they are changeing the bolt release, interesting.

Thats exactly what I said hahaha. Another new feature means another new rifle, thats if Savage ever figures out the whole exporting crap.
