Ok, I don't want to "bubba" my M38 anymore.

Took her to the range for the first time this morning and had some serious fun with it, 8 pound trigger and irons and all. Got a lot of compliments and even the missus took a crack at it.

Only shot it at 50m to start with, the first 5 shots only touched paper three times but it tightened up to a fist-sized grouping after I got used to the kick. You can see the second 5-shot group in the upper right area of the target.

The missus shooting it, she only managed to put two out of twenty shots on paper but this is her first time shooting anything other than a .22 or a BB gun:

Good call, they are beautiful looking rifles in stock trim. At least what you had planned was a reversible mod, nothing wrong with that. It's not really bubba'd if you can put it back to stock if you want lol.

I'd like an M38, I should've picked one up from Corwin awhile back when they had polish refurbs in stock.

Nice! Seated on the bench through? Yikes! Lol!
I love my M38, but its only standing shooting position for me!
I tend to buy two or three of the same thing, in order to pick/ find my favorite. So two M38's and an M44 later and I find my 1942 M38 to be my top pick, which shows similar results as yours. Such a fun gun.

brave wife sir :) I too am married to a sweetly brave woman who put 1 round through my Svt and 1 through my Mosin before telling me she likes the SKS the best. I married the best woman ever hahahahaha. Lucky men we are brother :)
